Document Actions
Wednesday, November 15th, started with Brokerage Events 2006 Joint Summit: Moulds and Dies & Nano-Materials and Micro-Technologies.

The event began with a Plenary Session and was then divided into various workshops that occurred at the same time.

Each Brokerage Event resulted in a series of bilateral meetings that drew upon ideas for future national and European projects for tooling and plastics cluster. This event gathered 77 participants from several institutions, enhancing the high participation of R&D centres that collected 42% of total event attendance, followed by universities with 31% and companies with a total of 27%.

In the end, the result was optimistic: from the 50 bilateral meetings that took place during the afternoon, 17 project ideas came up. It is also worthy of reference the fact that many other meetings occurred in a more informal environment during the whole event.

Brokerage Events Joint Summit 2006 “Conclusions and Outlook” closing dinner took place in S. Pedro de Moel. In the end of the dinner, Joaquim Menezes, president of Centimfe, exposed the results and expectations of the day’s work. Rui Grilo, assistant-coordinator of the Tecnological Plan and João Marques da Cruz, president of ICEP, accepted the organization’s invitation and participated in the dinner. During that time they enhanced the importance of these events to creating new partnerships. According to ICEP's president, it will be possible to increase our technological ability and, consequently, the exports level, that is already controlled by the mouldmaking industry.
