Industrial Property and E-learning Hybrid Moulds precedes the official dawn of Moulds Event 2006
In a panel about “R&D, Innovation and Entrepreneuship: QREN 2007-2013 Challenges”, Manuel Mira Godinho, a Professor at the Higher Institute for Economics and Management (ISEG), exposed a paper which defendeded that Portugal has to overcome three challenges to fulfill the scientific and technologic gap that separates the country from the most developed European economies. These challenges are to outdo the great dichotomy of the Portuguese educational system; encourage new ways of entrepreneurial business, and develop new scientific and technological strategies.
In her turn, Isabel Afonso, an INPI representative, emphasized that Industrial Property is assuming a decisive importance in a more and more competitive and turbulent context. She also highlighted that, until October 31th 2006, 263 patents had already been registered and by the end of the year the number is expected to rise up to 300.
