e-Learning
E-learning is a powerful tool that can be used by companies and their employees as part of their ongoing effort to improve skills and levels of qualification in order to remain competitive in today's globalised economy. E-learning technology drastically reduces the disadvantages of SMEs by enabling access to existing training courses or helping them to set up their own training programs using Information and Communication Technologies.
The CVP e-learning platform presents a training environment with:
- help devices: FAQs, glossaries, references, search engines
- 'student' management: marks, registers
- evaluation process management: set up and amendment of tests, certificate issuing
- collaborative environment: chat, e-mail, forums
The CVP currently offers a representative sample of courses for Pilot Testing. These courses deal, in various ways, with a range of different matters pertinent to the Plastics Value Chain. The courses include
- Injection Unit: Guide to the functions and workings of an injection unit, characterisation and identification of the main elements of the injection unit, basic vocabulary
- Snap Fits: Advantages/Disadvantages of the use of this kind of assembly, types of snap fits, dimensions of snap fits
- Plastic Material Selection: Correct plastic material selection based on the part and application sector
- Rapid Prototyping: Guide to the most up-to-date technology for rapid prototyping
This range of courses forms a particularly important part of the CVP and as such it will be enlarged and refined, with a particular emphasis on short, targeted courses on:
- New and emerging technologies.
- Basics on key technical and industrial issues in the plastics value chain.
The training courses will be available in as many European languages as the market demands. To access the e-learning courses, go to SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES
